New year, same lack of posts.
As anyone who actually still follows this blog knows, Kenzie's 1st birthday was Christmas Eve so it was the first Christmas we spent outside of a hospital as a family. The month started with a trip to the Festival of Lights which I don't enjoy as much after watching the documentary Blackfish. But Kenz did get to meet Mrs. Claus.
| Mrs. Claus was very excited. Kenz is trying to turn her head, but too bundled up |
| She looks thrilled! |
We also got some Christmas pics for our Christmas cards over at Uncle Alan's house. Art was our professional photographer for the day and they turned out great.
| What you saw on our Christmas card. |
And then there were about a thousand other pictures.
| Not sure who to blame for this: Kenzie or Grandpa. |
| No idea why this face existed, but she loved it. |
And we definitely got some with the whole Janszen family.
| Molly really really wanted to see what this chair was about. |
| STOP THE MADNESS |
| What do you MEAN these are Kenzie's toys? |
| All mine. |
After the party we got in the Christmas spirit with Kenzie Claus.
We celebrated Christmas morning and day with the Flynn's.
Where Uncle Colin taught Kenzie about construction...
And Kenzie taught Uncle Colin about destruction...
By the way, ask Colin and Ryan which brother reached ninja status with stacking those blocks to the ceiling and then just kicking the very top one off without knocking the others over. (Hint: The 31 yr old -at the time- one with a bad back).
| Cutie pies. |
| Give each other a kiss! |
| H..er..br..eath....its....terrible |
And with spending Christmas with the Flynn's means the Flynn family party.
| Jeni looks super excited! |
Kenzie anxiously awaiting the arrival of Santa.
And he showed up!
| Not sure about this fella. |
| But he gives some good stuff! |
Then we had Christmas morning again at the Janszen's the day after Christmas and the girls got along better in the chair without cousin Molly divebombing in.
Quite a first year with little Kenz.
| Maybe next year, we just stay in and watch TV for the holidays. I am exhausted. |
